Our Story

My journey began after completing my college education at Sonoma State University — after working for a few years in the 9-5 world, I decided that lifestyle was not for me, so I ventured into freelancing, where I really enjoyed working directly with small business owners offering virtual assistant services.

As my portfolio quickly grew, I discovered a love for telling brand stories and creating strategic marketing solutions and website designs. I also found that, more often than not, each business was an extension of its owner. This allowed me to truly see and understand the unique needs of each business, along with the problems and pain points they faced, and to help remedy those issues in a strategic yet intuitive way.

When the pandemic hit, it pushed me further toward embracing a fully remote work lifestyle and inspired me to transition from freelancing to starting my own business. At that time, with so many people reflecting on their futures and seeking more meaningful work, I felt called to help them pursue their entrepreneurial dreams—whether that meant launching a side hustle or making a complete career shift. I also wanted to help established businesses find new ways to sell online during the pandemic and adapt to the rapidly changing business landscape.

Since then, Life by Design Studio has evolved into a small but mighty team of three, dedicated to supporting visionary business owners whose mission is to make a positive impact on the world. We do this by providing high-level branding, graphic design, marketing, and website solutions. Our goal is to help as many business owners as possible by providing them with the tools they need to succeed in running the business of their dreams, so they can live a life of fulfillment.

Fun tidbit: I also study holistic nutrition and Ayurvedic medicine! I LOVE to travel and being able to work remotely, so you can often find me jet-setting and living part of the year on my new coffee + banana farm in Colombia.

As the son of an architect, Brian has always been surrounded by design. Since a young age Brian has always enjoyed identifying the shapes, colors and objects that we see in our everyday life and many years later it has formed into his need to express his thoughts and creativity in different forms of artistic work.

At the age of eighteen, frustrated with college's rhetoric lectures and uninspiring homework, Brian began combining his love for Northern California and design by launching a graphic t-shirt clothing company with a friend. With a business plan and financial backing established he educated himself with design, sourcing, manufacturing, sales and marketing. The company was later receiving requests for graphic design work and t-shirt manufacturing.

Established with a portfolio of work, Brian went back to college in 2016 at the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University to study Graphic Information Technology and Marketing. Brian's degree combines design, usability, content creation, web development and marketing into one major.

Brian started his design company in 2017 and has since worked with several different companies in Sonoma/Napa County and the Bay Area providing a variety of creative services such as graphic design, photography, videography, web development, brand consulting and more.

Fun tidbit: When Brian isn't in the office, you can find him shooting landscape photography or playing with his 2-year-old son at the family ranch in Sonoma County.
